Those moves needed to be reversed. Saturday waivers are in effect so you can make additional moves tommorrow if you like. Waivers will now only run on Wed and Sat according to the times printed in the rules. Thanks and sorry for the mix up. Ahmed

As you have managed to cock this up & as my waivers had already gone & then been reversed I can no longer field a full lineup. With this in mind & the way this league has been constantly mucked around I am resigning from this league forthwith.

I agree with you about how this league is run. Unfortunately, this league doesn't consider the wishes of all teams. Definitely, the worst league that i have participated in. Jake

Jake, Mick, if you will allow me this evening, i am emailing AHMED a solution i see that i believe and hope will remedy this one-time waiver issue. As i posted yesterday, i am in the process of assuming commissioner-duties of Tillman I, Tillman II, & Cowboys 1, on wednesday evening, i had logged on to see if any trades needed be processed in all 3 leagues, did see that waivers ran in Cowboys 1 & Tillman 1 but hadn't processed here. I checked the Tillman II Rules link and saw that waivers the same as in Tillman 1 & Cowboys that it stated Wednesday & Saturday. Therefore, on that reason alone, I, Lee-not Ahmed, manually processed the waivers. I became aware yesterday from email / posts that apparently Tillman II has been operating on a Thursday nite waiver instead of Wednesday. Obviously this has created a problem this week... i just sent Beverly Beavers an email concerning one solution i see that i believe remedies this problem for him. However, since Ahmed still is the owner of this league this year, i believe it would be best if i visited with Ahmed first concerning my thoughts to resolve this issue this week. Clearly, this should only be a ONE-TIME waiver issue this week only. Lee p.s. ANYONE in league can email me privately concerning any thoughts you may have concerning this issue this week, as well as any other thoughts or input about the league in general for future consideration. For those who were in Tillman II, formerly Jim Brown IDP in the 2004-2005 or '06 years... i played in this league in original years so i do understand the overall concept of Tillman II, matter of fact, the team that is NOW Beverly Beavers team WAS my original team... in either 2005 or 2006 season, i made but lost the league championship game in a HIGH-SCORING game where i lost the league championship by LESS than one point... a DECIMAL POINT LOSS ... something like a 240 to 239.xx pt game if i remember correctly without going back all the way through the leagues... at that time, i was in 25 pay leagues primarily on GLFFL site, and in need of beginning some cutbacks, Jim Brown was among the few leagues i originally notified KIRK, GLFFL, i would be letting go... Jim Brown primarily because of the extra work involved in IDP play when have more than 20 leagues to begin with... not to long afterwards, i changed my mind and contacted Kirk about keeping my Jim Brown team, but the Beverly Beavers had purchased my orphan just days before so of course Bev.Beav. was the owner and rightfully so. I have remained in Tillman 1, formerly Dick Butkus IDP since its inception. Upon learning from Ahmed of other issues necessitating him letting leagues go, i did contact him about Tillman 1 as i wanted to insure it remained a league etc... i then agreed to assume Tillman II & Cowboys Fan 1 as well. ( i was originally in Cowboys Fan 1 too in event any other owners here in Tillman II are in Cowboys as well.)Lee

I'm on my way out and Lee will be a great commish so if you don't like my comments here, attribute them to me and me alone. I've learned to let situations like these roll off my back but I want to comment here... First off all no league, just like the NFL, will run perfectly because there is a human element. If any of you will or have run leagues you have or will have mix-ups. We are human. I now remember why the waiver period during the week was changed...because you guys asked for it last season and I did it experimentally based on your requests. I didn't remember during the off-season that I'd made the change. A couple of owners brought it to our attention this week and we were in the process of figuring out what to do about it. Lee has just taken over the league and is already working hard to be on top of things. When he noticed the waivers didn't run Wed and checked the rules he manually processed them thinking there was a system error. He was working to make sure things were on schedule. Two teams put waiver requests on Thursday which there was no fault in the moves, but like the rest of the league, had been awarded waivers on Wednesday. As Lee and I were both coming to the full realization of the situation on Thursday and coordinating what to do, two teams received players via waivers on Thursday as well. #7, you write "Unfortunately, this league doesn't consider the wishes of all teams." How many teams in the league do you think were ok with two teams acquiring players on Wed and on Thursday? There was another waiver period for everyone coming on Saturday. What was wrong and unfair about reversing the Thursday waiver moves that two teams had in time for them to make new waiver requests Saturday? What would you suggest have been done differently to try to be fair to all? That's one of the biggest tasks commissioners have, to try to consider everyone. It's not always easy, not always cut and dry. I just don't see what was so terrible, unfair, and inconsiderate of the league here. I'll be honest, I also don't understand why someone wants to quit a league before even trying to e-mail the commish and seeing what can be worked out. Everyone loses that way, especially you. If you have an issue just take a minute to think about what you need and ask for it. If you have a suggestion about something, offer it up. Maybe it does or doesn't change a situation but it's good to consider new ideas or ways of handling things in the future. Being the commish of these leagues has changed my perspective so much about what it's like. It's equivalent to parenting, you can think you know what it's like to be a parent but you have no idea until you are one. I've played and continue to play in GLFFL's, Kirk's leagues. So many times I got angry or frustrated about a situation. I decided to ignore the impulse I have to back out of a league when something pisses me off and I just discuss them with Kirk now. There was a big issue in the off-season with the Superior Leagues, the partial keepers, where he changed the rules without notifying us regarding off-season draft rounds and the restocking auction. It pissed me off something terrible. I e-mailed him and stated my case. I told him whatever was decided I was going to stay in the league even though I didn't think it was fair at all. A lot of guys quit. He told me that he wasn't going to change the situation but before it all started he changed it to the same system we had previously that we all expected. I ask this not for me but for your enjoyment of FF and the new commishes taking over the leagues...keep a level head, communicate, see what happens. Thanks Ahmed
